Appearance matters more than reality: as long as nonKoreanness can be hidden and offspring raised as Korean then all is okay. Koreans have been *beep* by the Japanese, Chinese, Mongolians for ages. |
Doesn't this pretty much applies to the entire human race?
some "other" race has always been raped by others and vice versa. |
Nope. Just Koreans. |

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the ban is only temporary. And long as they have a clear criminal record and are single (both quite easy to prove) Korean men will still be able to marry Cambodian women |

How does the cambodian and vietnamese govt feel about losing their women exactly.? I seem to remember Russia enacting some sort of legislation to prevent their women leaving the country en masse. |

One would assume that if they didn't want to lose "their women" they'd follow Russia's lead.
But a temporary ban does not signify a permanent policy change in the offing. |

only temporary well, thats what the cambodian government just told the korean government!
Koreans will still need to reside in cambodia for over a month and be more scrutanized during the interview process..
I think the days of Koreans demanding the potential wives to strip down naked so Ajossi can see the goods before he signs on the dotted line are over.. |

There must be a lot of love found in these situations, as well as all the bad marriages there will be many good ones.
It is good that he spend a month in Cambodia. He should develop a sense of where she is from. He should develop some ties to that country, too.
However, banning him outright would be totally incorrect, from the women's perspective also. |
