Is Baek, Paek different from Pak, Park? Is this right? I would have guessed Baek to make top 20.

why doesn't anyone use Bark?

Paek or Baek is different, and I think it means white.

Had a girlfriend who's last name was Woo which is not too common. She mentioned that she was related to some king or lord about 5 or 6 generations back.

Yes, with just a little bit more effort (and some lucky Saturday nights), the Hans could pass the Lims...only 0.1% behind. Get....uh, busy.


Personally, I think the Kims are messing with the statistics or else I'm an �� magnet. I swear that 3 out of every 4 Koreans I know are named ��. In my very first middle school class I had 8 or 9 students: ALL of them were named ��.

I have met 2 people with that family name, including my girlfriend. Also, in Daegu, I saw a clerk with that family name.
