No More Heroes is pretty fun. The sequal just came out. Haven't got my hands on it yet though.
Sports Resort is great too, if just for the sword-fighting I assumed would be a mainstay of the system before it came out. Needs the funny little dongle.
Come on Bushido Blade Wii. Or Kengo even.
CoD WoW is actually pretty fun for a bit. The point to shoot dynamic works pretty well. Worth a couple of hours.

I've been playing COD4 MW online. That's a lot of fun, too.

Check out No More Heroes 1 and 2, both are solid for different reasons. I'd also say that Silent Hill Shattered Memories is one of my favourite games of this generation so DEFINITELY pick that up, especially if you like horror games.

I have another question though...

If I don't want to mod my Wii, and I don't, does anybody know of a place or site that will import games from the US or Canada? This year is going to be great on Wii and I don't want to miss out. I have yet to check shipping costs on places like amazon and ebay but that is my next step.

Thanks!

So I just checked amazon and have great news for others in my position. They will ship to Korea and standard shipping is aprox. only $USD 4.99. This method can take anywhere between 17-30 days but there are faster options if your willing to spend $USD 30+

If anybody has a better option I'd love to hear it, Thanks!

Hi,
We are looking at buying a Wii and have a couple of questions, if anyone could help.

Roughly, how much would a modded Wii cost brand new?

Is there a way to play games off of a hard drive instead of burning games to DVD? Is that what the USB Loader GX is?

If the Wii is korean, can we play English games on it?
Thanks to all for your help. Happy Wii-ing!

There's a funny little arcade sort of tucked away round the back. Took me the longest time to find it. Go across the bridge out the back of the station, find another bridge on the other side of the mall, cross that, walk though the parking garage, down a little flight of stairs and you should see it on your left. This is where most the pirate stuff is, and where to take console you need hacked. Don't know if they sell prehacked ones, but I suspect they would.

On another note, Red Steel 2 is great for anyone with the motion plus dongle. Looks stellar too, considering the system.

I will try and be of some help as everyone here helped me recently when I installed the usb loader.

Do you know where the game alley is? If not, hmm let me try and explain how to get there.
Go to Yongsan station. Take the Ipark exit (don't go into the iPark building though). You will probably see a lot of people heading to the right. Follow them. You will see a convenient store (believe Ministop) on your left. Take a right at the T-intersection. You will see a long green tunnel going over the train tracks. Go through the tunnel and you will end up in a new building. Take a left once you enter the doors. You will pass a few computer places. Keep going until you see stairs on your right. Go down a floor. On the next floor, look to your right. You will see doors leading to another tunnel (game stores on both sides of the doors). Go through the tunnel and down the stairs on the other side. Once down, you will go down a 10m alley. Take a left once at the end of the alley. You will walk maybe 15m and see the entrance to the game alley (green sign above the entrance). There is a ramp down with game stores on your right. Any of these stores will mod your Wii.

I personally go to "...Ing". It has a red and white sign. Once you go to the bottom of the ramp it will be the third store on your left. There will be a woman and a man there. They can handle all of your needs.

I have modded all of my systems through him and he has always been helpful. He speaks excellent English (Woman doesn't but he is always there).

In reference to your question about loading games from a harddrive. Search "usb loader compatibility list" in google and see what drives are compatable. Then find a site where you can download games. You will need to format your harddrive to WBFS format before you add games to it.

*Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes, had too much coffee today and don't feel like going through again and checking.

Maybe I'll just wait for Zelda, then. Yeah, sure, I "steal" the games, but I've spent a fortune on peripherals already...

Is it worth it having one shipped from the US?

If you want to mod it, yes. I bought mine in Japan. Well, do anything to avoid the s***** Korean version which has a much higher chance of bricking when making changes to the sys. It's just an overall greater pain to deal with.

I don't have any experience modding a NA version, but I've never had trouble messing with my Korean system and haven't bricked it yet.
