If you're jonesing that bad for it, you'd better restrict yourself to using the Internet Cafes. Gambling's illegal here--except at a few government approved locales--and, not that long ago, a group of foreigners got busted for running a poker game.

I posted a thread not too long ago about online betting in Korea and it was very promptly deleted..by the Mod team saying it was illegal blah blah

How crazy is that?? ( i mean the deleting the thread)

Betting on games etc is second nature back home..

Didn't think the thread needed to be deleted.. it could just have been discussed anyway..

I play the online poker on Facebook and I hope to have a few flutters on soccer games and the like..but havent been able to find a site I can use here for that either.

Now hope this is not deleted either..

where do you live? If you're in/near Seoul just go to one of the casinos, the Walkerhill has freerolls on Sundays, and I think the Hilton does too, if you're broke. If you're willing to play with cash then there are cash tables everynight any any casino in Seoul, and cash tournaments pretty much every Saturday.

Pokerstars works fine when I played a few months ago.

Firstly, I doubt they can even track that you're playing poker.

Secondly, it may technically be illegal but it's a bit of a grey area for foreigners. Elky (a pro) used to live in Seoul and he certainly played online.
