I actually think 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' is the best policy. Or maybe it should be 'Don't Care'

It's not relevant tot eh task at hand one way or the other, therefore it should not be talked about or discussed.

I only think it should become an issue if someone makes it way to big of an issue one way or the other as in a gay soldier harassing or being harassed.

It's army life, guys are going to be lewd and crude.

I think it gets out to be made way too big an issue.

What's to debate, really? You think homosexuals don't belong in the military. The rest of us think their sexuality is irrelevant to service.

We're right, and you're bigoted.

Gays can kill the enemy just as well as non gays!
Some folks are homophobic and think they are better than others...

Some do, and it's offensive to others. it's generally derogatory.

I mentioned myself as a comparison. US isn't the only military in the world.

Go back to stalking people with those other nutcases, why don't you?

So you are telling us that you are exclusively heterosexual and are indiscriminately attracted to every single individual of the female sex. Do I have that right?

It is not a question of being homophobic...I do not have an "irrational fear or hatred" towards queers

So your hatred or fear is rational then?

If you are a guy and saw a women's breasts and other body parts exposed virtually everyday there is no way you could concentrate on performing your duties as a soldier properly.

Entire colonies of nudists are exposed to the entire bodies including genitals of both sexes, yet seem to have no impediment to performing their duties quite adequately.

Throughout their lives means their entire lives.......there are many queers who say they realized they were gay later on.

So before they realized it they were not gay?

You're supposed to pronounce it "quee-yahs" .

Extra points if you're wearing a wife-beater resplendent with Ragu spaghetti sauce stains.

I'd have no problems serving with gays or the opposite sex - just like I'd have no issues working with them.

Such a situation would be no impediment what-so-ever to my ability to perform the tasks required. Then again, I'm not a teenager -- either physically or mentally -- and neither are most soldiers.

This title is rather inflammatory. This is locked. We are not playing around. To the vast majority of folks who work hard and also keep it clean as we did as poster, a big thanks.

Start another one without such another title. I mean another user.
