Nawwww not calling him out at all. That would be pointless because in order for a call out to be effective the subject needs to have certain core attributes...these are sorely missing here. |

One scientific article from a reputable publication that was corroborated by a serious medical association will do.

I don't know which publications are reputable, but there is at least one article about it if you try google: http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&q=allintitle:+kimchi+cancer |

Thanks for the link...interesting study as well.
What this says is that the ingredients in Kimchi can be linked to stomach cancer in Koreans but that said cancer takes years to declare. It also said certain foods reduce this risk.
Basically what this says is kimchi should not be eaten to excess. This in turn is basic common sense when it comes to food.
Still interesting study and a good read.
This is in line with many nutrition studies on various foods and their potential bad effects on health. There are for example dozens of such studies on the consumption of fish and the impact this has due to heavy metals. There are yet more studies on the consumption of meat from hormone injected animals.
These studies tend to vary in conclusion and when new research comes up, older conclusions are often swept away. Eggs being the perfect example of this they are bad/they are good/they are bad again phenomenon.
Wine is another good example. It is linked in moderate consumption to reduced heart disease risks and linked in other studies as bad for other things....
So to me Kimchi falls in the same category: consume in moderation.
That is just my opinion of course, nothing more. |

| Oh, you little people...tsk..tsk. I got no problem with dying. Yeah, we are all going to go. I probably do more extreme stuff than you can even think of...so I got no problem with death. Mainly, I'm just saying that if you are one of those concerned with your health, then you should stay away from kimchi because it has been proven to cause stomach cancer. You can't listen to Homer because he has been on these boards for years, day in and day out, defending Korea. It is a sickness, but that is his role in this life. As for myself, I don't eat kimchi because it causes cancer. I don't eat it because it is vile and just tastes nasty. Understand? |

Salmon, trout, herring and cabbage? Gravlax is super-yummy and I also like sauerkraut a lot. Is it possible to find gravlax here in Korea? |

Of course wishmaster because your incessant and constant bashing of all things Korean makes you far more credible... |

Hasn't 고사리, GoSaRi, been shown to cause cancer in animals. Check Wiki.
It's the bracken type, ahem, vegetable that is in many Bibimbap dishes.
The Japanese eat it by the bucket and they have some stomach cancer problems.
I've stopped eating gosari.
Some things should be left by the side of the road. |

Dorothy Parker you might enjoy this:
"Life is not a journey to the grave with intentions of arriving in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, chocolate in one hand, Margarita in the other , while loudly proclaiming, "Holy ****, What a ride!" |

| Kimchi is terrible anyways, and its unsurprising that it causes cancer. It also causes nausea, sweating, and bad breath. Cancer is the least of my worries when forcing down that pig vomit. |
