Depends on mood, who is present, and location. Not all can be shared on Dave's. One that can be: tenderfoot. |

i prefer "baby," or "babe," or even "babycakes" when drunk
i use "sweetheart" when i'm annoyed and with a lecturing tone
i once heard "toots" being used and that cracked me up, as did "sugartits" |
i can count on one hand the amount of times i called her by her name. its hunny or baby. its the same with her calling me those two with hunny being used most |

hmm.. pretty orthodox terms of endearment over at daves... anybody use something more unorthodox
ladies, how do you feel about using "oppah"? And also, what do you think about being referred to as "toots"... would you get a warm fuzzy feeling inside, would you laugh, would you slap him in the face, etc.
dudes, how'z it make you feel when you hear "oppah!" Or what about when your main squeeze hugs you tightly, looks at you with her big puppy dog eyes and says, "snookiewookie" or somethihng to that degree. Do you hold her tighter, black it out of your mind, throw up, etc? |

I sort of like it when guys call me "noona".
I use very cliched monikers, like Baby and Hun and Darling, but I change them up, and usually use his name. If I'm very angry, I use "Stupid", and I don't say it with any endearment. I don't think cool, sardonic anger suits me, it comes across as even meaner than just aggressive anger.
I dated a guy who called me nothing but Kitty. I know, it's an actual woman's name, but after a while it struck me as really demeaning (it wasn't intentional, but). So, I said, "Hey, Stupid, stop calling me that!" and he cried, so I apologized. |
and then you forgot to add
"and I lost all respect for him (after seeing him cry for being called Stupid)
"

Haha, I was kind of creatively re-telling
He didn't cry, he just pouted. I knew I was being too harsh. I have a K-name, so the effect was like calling me "Kitty Kaypea", which is an adorable nickname which every woman should cerish to the depths of her feminine heart. But, it was getting on my nerves. It'd be like, "Oh, my Kitty Kaypea is taking a kitty cat nap" and stuff like that, ALL the time.
So, I kind of snapped and seemed ungrateful.
And now I'm single.
Guys, I'm wondering... would you be upset if your girlfriend didn't appreciate your adorable, alliterative nickname for her? |

Would you be opposed to me calling you Lilith the reaper of souls? Or just simply succubus?
....that's hot. |

I'm not a huge fan of pet names in general. Certainly not conventional cutesy ones. I live in an area where it's not unusual for someone to call a female shop clerk "my ducky/ my darling/ honey/ whatever" so when a boyfriend uses them, it feels really impersonal and sleazy, especially if we haven't been together long.
An ex used to call me "kid" after we watched Casablanca together one night ( as in, " Here's looking at you, kid" and that was kind of nice. |

But "pet names" are better than your SOther calling you by your name, no? To me, that would be even more impersonal.
Incidentlaly, "kid" is nice, out of respect for superbadass Humphrey Bogart, i hesitate to use it... |

"Succubus" is good because there's nothing mundane/ cutsey about it...
"Aww, my widdle Succubus needs her huggie-hug."

I started to use ridiculous nicknames when we first started dating as a joke, and they just kinda stuck. :/
I call him honey britches, sugarballs, lover, sexpot, homes, pooki (or pooki bear), love, honey, c**t etc.
He calls me babby (as in "how is babby formed?"), sexykins, bitch, dat azz, pretty, sweet sugah slam (internet joke) ...etc.
Sometimes I like to think of awful things so I call him "candy taint" or my "sexy bear ass." |

I insist on being called a pet name. That way when we break up there is a chance she forgot my real name and will have a harder time if she wants to stalk me. |
