I'm guessing you are referring to Philadelphia?
Yes, they are delicious. My favorite is Tony Luke's, located on Oregon Ave near the stadiums. Second favorite is the famous "Pat's Cheesesteaks."
Geno's isn't my cup of tea. You could always just try all 3 |

You're probably one of those guys that had his mom make him happy meals at home.
Good food cannot be replicated at home by most people. |

Which bar/restaurant are you talking about, OP? If it's that place near Yongsan base called "Phillies" then just forget it. No one in that place could name any Phillies players, past or present, and no one in that place has ever been to Philly. It's just a name someone read on the internet and decided to put on a dive. If you walk in there and say "Chase utley" the response from everyone will be "Chase him yourself." |

I remember that hole. Used to live 3 doors up from it and never once set foot in there. I remember some gyopos and foreigners spilling out of there about to beat the crap out of each other on the street and then saying "Man, we don't need to throw blows over this, blah blah blah" at 2 am on a weeknight. I told to them that I was going to come down and stab them all if they didn't shut the f up. They promptly left.
I still, to this day, can not fathom ever again living in the 'chon. |

No, lazy is posting on a board asking for opinions about a sandwich, when stranger's opinions about the sandwich mean nothing because they don't know your taste anyway.

Well, it was pretty good when it opened in 97 (or was it 98?). Its just that I haven't eaten there since then and I was wondering if it is still ok. |

FWIW, when the place first opened (can't remember when...97 or 98 sounds about right) it was run by a guy from Philadelphia and had good cheesesteaks, a pool table, and few if any tables. There was a lot of Phillies stuff. That was a few owners ago, but that's where the name came from. |

Have you heard people from Philadelphia discussing them? It's like their whole world revolves around sandwiches. I think they need something else to care about. |

If you want the best cheese steaks in Korea, go to Platters, a 1950s-style American diner in Hyehwa. It's on the other side of Mariner Park, exit 2, the side away from Daehangno. The owner lived in the US and is married to an American. There are 5 styles of cheese steak to choose from. And they have authentic milkshakes. |

Platters is good, but Marty's in Dongducheon blows Platters out of the water! It's just far. http://www.martys.co.kr/ |
