Was just wondering if anyone had successfully set up a tilt or stars account in korea. I went to walker hill to play poker and vowed I would never go back the cash games are full of clowns. Is online poker illegal in korea ?

thanks in advance

Yeah, I'm just a total clown. You are right. Rolling Eyes

Walker Hill is lots of fun. You just have to know how to roll against a big bank roll.

Anyways, to answer your question, Pokerstars can be used here. Not sure about Fulltilt.

Now watch my big clown feet as I shuffle off to the casino...

clowns??? you mean donkeys?
Sure there are donkeys there, but there are donkeys at any and every poker-room anywhere. I'm not big on the cash tables either (I find blackjack less frustrating, and easier to make money playing), but I love the tournaments at walkerhill, I seldom miss a cash tournament there.

Not all are bad but there are some terrible players there.

clown/donkey call them what you like.

well raising 25 thousand won blind in 1 - 2 game under the gun in a seven handed game is just madness.

Calling a shove on the turn with second pair and a seven high flush draw(280 thousand into a 380thousand pot) is more madness.

I can understand why people would play against people like this. But I just don't have the roll for it at anymore after one seriously bad night.

rowdie thanks for your response anyway .

Crisdean do you know much info about the tournament schedule in walker hill ? Last time I was there the poker room manager said something about a freeroll into some bigger tournament every second Sunday ? Can't really remember the details.

I also heard about a high buy in tournament in seven luck casino but again can't remember the details.

Would love to hear about a 50,000 re-buy or 100,000 freezeout or something in that ball park.

Just don't have the br for these high buy in tourneys or cash games.

unfortunately their website is crap and never updated.

But as far as I know there is a cash tournament every Saturday (3pm), with the first 2 being 110k buy-ins the third being a 55+20k bounty tournament and the last being a 220k buy-in. also I think all tournaments at the walkerhill are freezeouts, ie no rebuys no addons, personally I prefer it that way, but some people don't.

Then every Sunday (3pm) for the next little while (til end of June) is a freeroll to earn points toward a freeseat into a 550k tournament (the winner of that tournament gets a free seat to the WSOP main event in Vegas) and occasionally there are freerolls of fridays.

However they more or less say you need to be a member of the pokerroom (ie you need to register with them and get a card) and you have to earn points on said membership (by play cash games and tournaments) in order to play in the freeroles, basically if you play 10 hours at the cash tables you qualify.

Here are the websites for tourny info:

www.walkerhillpoker.com

The Sunday thing you mentioned is WSOP Steps. Has been playing every Sunday since January and will go till June.

www.7luckpoker.com

Both casinos are on Facebook as well.

To actually answer your question:

pokerstars is good to go as long as you have an account back home, they are all blocked from depositing here

fulltiltpoker is blocked by the government for some odd reason

legality is another issue

Did he/she make the flush or trips? Or are you angry that you got caught (even if it was unintentionally)? Laughing

If he thought he was bluffing, that's plenty of outs to call it in the right situation.

thanks for the replies some of those tournaments look ok in lucky 7 and the walker.

Guy made a flush on that hand after I flopped a straight.Ended up doing nearly a million won that night. Was terrible. I think its an awful call (obviously!) especially since I had been playing so tight and even if I am bluffing I am most likely drawing to a higher flush than him since I four bet him pre flop. I don't really understand what he was thinking or what card he was hoping for on the river. But I'm no expert.

Anyway see some of you at the tables hopefully !

Full tilt poker is blocked but you can easily download through a proxy server. I used freeproxynow.

Then don't worry about it, in the long run it was a profitable play.
