I have two external hard drives. Both hard drives worked fine before, but now one is no longer recognized by my computer (but it works just fine when connected to other computers).
Anyone else had this problem? |

Try turning off your system, unplugging it from the wall and give it 10 or 20 minutes. A small power surge to the device can temporarily make the usb ports malfunction. If you are using the front ports, try the back and vice-versa.
OS and external drive types (store-bought or HDD/Case bought separately) would be useful. |

I 2nd using the rear ports.
My USB drive won't work in the front.
I assume it is because there is less power available to the front ports. |

By the way...does anyone know why this occurs in newer computers? |
