Does anyone know anything about the hagwon isponge english? I have an interview set up for Friday.

All I know about the school is that it is located in Daegu City.

If it's the one in Chilgok DONT DO IT. My friend works there and is completely miserable, she teaches 45 classes a week and they don't pay OT to her and she works 9 hours a day.

why does she put up with it if she's that miserable, overworked and not being paid OT?

She wanted to get out but I think it got to the point where she had worked there long enough that she didn't want to start over for a new year somewhere else.

and it's gained notoriety in the teen classic WEIRD SCIENCE, spoken by an Australian character...... so I think we have the majority of the English speaking world covered. Cool

Is she miserable BECAUSE it's 9 hours a day? I'm on 8.5 - 9 hours a day depending - usually about 8.5. I'm entirely happy with it...

Don't know about the Daegu place though =\ Other than I hear the city is cool.

She's tired after 9 hours, but she's just miserable because they are worked to death and the directors are really nasty to them.
