Curious if anyone has found a copy of God of War 3 at Technomart or Yongsan? |

Yongsan has God of War 3 now...I just picked mine up tonight. But bad news, the Korean version isn't playable in English. |

So Kratos speaks Korean? Or are the menus in Korean?
Guess I'll be visiting Play-Asia.com very soon. |

I got this at yongsan last weekend, came home, sat on my ass and played the whole thing through. Maybe 10 hours from start to finish. Some decidedly frustrating parts but not a bad game.
And mine was all in English. |

Well, if you got yours in Yongsan last weekend then you were probably lucky enough to get a foreign version. The Korean version G.O.W. 3 was released on March 31st...and it doesn't have English. Good to know that Yongsan has the imports, then. I'll head over there again this weekend. |

Mind you, it was a bit more expensive than I'm used to paying for a PS3 game. And yeah, it's the "Asian" version - from Taiwan, I believe. |

If you don't mind, would tell us how much you paid? The last time I went to Yongsan to try to get an import I was getting constantly gouged by the vendors and finally gave up and ordered off Play-Asia. |

For what I paid, (90k) I really should have just ordered it off play asia. But, I had a Saturday suddenly become free, and due to canceled plans, I had the money, and I live pretty close to Yongsan, so.... |

Yikes, that's about what I paid for GTA IV and Fallout 3 back when they'd just come out stateside. One vendor wanted 100,000k. |

I got a Traditional Chinese copy which had the option to play it in English. Paid about the same as Gnawbert. For anyone with a passion for killing Greek Gods, it's worth the price. |

Okay an update for ya'll. I went back to Yongsan yesterday to look into English G.O.W. 3 versions. A couple of vendors stocked the American version...the prices ranged from 100k-120k (ouch!). For the wealthier among us, the Korean special edition box set of God of War 3 (put out by a different publisher than the standard Korean version) does contain both English and Korean. However, it costs upward of around 300,000won (!!)
In the end, and because I'm impatient, I just bit the bullet and paid 100,000won for my English G.O.W. 3. I DID trade in my Korean copy, which helped somewhat. I'm a big fan of the series so it was worth it to me. However, those who can't justify paying that much for a game, I guess, are pretty much stuck with PlayAsia or having someone back in North America mail it over. It really sucks that Sony didn't bother to put English support in THIS game, of all the games out there.
Anyway, I hope this info helps... |
