It seems like every question I have these days is about Gmarket. I ordered three nice sets of curtains and am happy with them, but I screwed up the dimensions of one of them and it won't fit the window. I figured out that I need the next size up, which costs 10,000 won more. How does one go about a return on Gmarket? Do I contact the seller, or Gmarket itself? And then do I mail through the post office or contact the same delivery company? Since it will be an exchange and not really a return, I figure I just need to wire the additional 10,000 won to the seller. I will call and ask, but my Korean on the phone is not great, so I appreciate any advice. |

You'll need to pay the shipping as well. |

Actually, I was wondering about Gmarket as well. If you buy something and it breaks, do they return/swap? Was going to buy some rain boots and they have Target boots, but on the Target website, a few people have had them pull apart a bit, while others have had no issues. So, I am curious if they stand behind their stuff. |

You're not buying from one place. Gmarket is hundreds of businesses basically advertising their stuff. So, if the product is defective, you have the same chance of getting it replaced as at a normal store (I would say a pretty high chance). Most of the listings say that they will pay shipping for defective products. |

Yeah, I figure I'll need to pay shipping since it was my error, and not theirs. But would I just take it to the post office to ship or deal with the same delivery company that shipped it? |

1. You need to ship the item back. You can do that at a post office or you use any delivery company; doesn't have to be the one who delivers your item.
2. Pay for the delivery charge.
3. Go into your gmarket account and click on Return/Exchange icon. Enter all requested information.
4. Your money will be refunded as soon as the seller gets the item. Also remember that you need to pay back the initial delivery fee that the seller sent you. When the seller refunds your money, that delivery fee will be deducted from the amount.
5. Sorry, I didn't read your post completely, if it's an exchange, just enter the order, and the seller will be notified of your changes.
Hope that helps. |
