I've never eaten USA school lunch, but if this is indicative of the norm, then good grief.

I think Adam Sandler touched on a mostly worldwide phenomenon when he sang "Lunchlady Land"

LOL - people are posting torrents now? Dude, that's rich. Anyway, I'm obviously not going to download and watch that at work, but the few times I ate school lunch in america, i'd say it was a lot less healthy but slightly tastier. Then again, unlike in Korean schools, it was entirely optional, and the norm was to bring your own sack lunch.

Either because they were served VERY often or because they were the 'best,' the lunches I remember most were a chicken sandwich and some really awful pizza - square, thick bready dough....i dont really remember the other lunches. I mostly didn't eat it anyway.

I've been watching that show. I've always liked Oliver's work. It's truly disturbing how ignorant/resistant to change some of the folks in that town are. Over 50% of people there are obese/morbidly obese. Get a clue, folks, get a clue.

In my old HS we had 3 lunch lines. Two were constant, pizza, with 2 different kinds. Not very good but teenage boys especially athletes, are starving so they will eat almost anything. The other was hamburgers and fries. This was everyday school was in session.

The third was a choice line. It was new everyday and typically something new everyday for a month. Somedays, like spaghetti, were ok but if it was chicken nugget, or fajita day you might get trappled getting to there.

Our food was nothing like in here. http://fedupwithschoollunch.blogspot.com/
The only thing we had that came in a box or package was milk or juice. Everything else was pretty much made by ladies that looked like Chris Farley in Lunch Lady land.
