hey man, so have you ever switched companies while on the visa? what's the deal with that, cause the new company has to make a new sponsorship applications for you, right?
jsut out of curiosity, what do you do rebmetpes? |

i have one too.
if you switch to a new company your old visa will be revoked. your new company has to, again, send you abroad, so you can get a new e7 visa. they also will have to create the new documentation for it. basically the whole process has to be repeated.
no work for you, apart from the burdon of having to travel abroad  .
but your company has a load of work to do. |

Nope. Been working for the same company for more than 4 years. Offshore design. |

ah cool, i see... kinda sucks cause you can't just quit, huh?
last question, i heard that there is a limit to how may E7 visas you can apply for, meaning there's a limit of how many new jobs you can work with the visa, is that true and if so, what's the limit? |

honestly, i plan to stay with this company for the next two years and then move somewhere else.
that would be a question to ask the ppl at the immigration office ^^ |

If you're going to Osaka, then there's a decent though slightly pricey hotel right across from the Korean consulate. Can't remember the name of it, but you can't miss it. Singles/Doubles are both nice and come with ensuite bathrooms if I remember correctly. |

theres a bullet hotel not far from the embassy. its cheap too.
just google 'osaka visa run' and youll find it.. a description complete with pictures.
as for tokyo. dont go to the korean embassy there. they dont have visa service. they will send you back the way you came from and ask you to go to the visa consulate they have just opened close to the subway station in Azabu-juban. very easy to find.
also found, that theres no heavy traffic there. its completely ok for you to show up around 9. fill in your forms, if you havent and then hand them in together with the visa fee.
itll take them two business days to process it. if you have a morning flight on the second business day, tell them and show them your schedule. they will most likely tell you to come back the next day in the afternoon.
rather painless and quick process. |
