Whether or not you have any discernible talent is inconsequential. If you look good, you are good. Someone else can even sing and play for you. Buy her C.D. She will like you.

I think Lady Gaga is a very talented artist. Her lyrics are amazing and her live performances are outstanding. I am annoyed by people who think she is just another manufactured pop act. Music snobs who hear Pop and automatically think it is commercial drivel and not worth their time need to open their minds a little or at least do some research on the matter. I understand that pop music is not everybody's cup of tea, but she does it well and far outshines the other pop acts in the charts today who lip sync and have songs written for them.

Lady Gaga has been writing songs for other artists and performing herself for years before she was in the spotlight. She has worked damn hard to get to where she is the old-fashioned way performing in many clubs and working her way up. She isn't some Mickey Mouse Club graduate with an average voice who got handed a record deal because she was attractive and fit the mould.

Sorry for the rant but being a huge fan of Gaga I always find myself in situations that I have to defend her music. I love watching her live, I love her lyrics, I love her voice and her songs make me want to dance all night.....so stop being music snobs and accept that she is talented even if you don't like the genre.

The gays are in love with her, including me. This should put all debate to rest. Once the gays idolize a singer into "Diva" territory, their talent is legitimate for all time...

Seriously though, she is a great singer and her songs are if any, very catchy and entertaining. Though I would like someone who made a comment about her being an alleged hermaphrodite explain to me how that has anything to do with making good music?

I don't 'follow' her but I'll admit she's mapped out and executed a pretty good plan to get her where she is.

I think she's got a cute voice too......I mean, she looks the way she looks and you'd expect some vampish, dominetrix (sp?) voice and personality but instead she sounds like some little cuties from the Bronx.

Make of this what you will:

I've just taught a song class to my all girls vocational and academic high school students.

Lady Gaga's "Boys, Boys, Boys" went down really well with the vocational students. They sang the chorus so loudly we got complaints from nearby classrooms (yippie). The academic students said she was "ugggaly," but they, too, sang up a storm (albiet quieter).

Easy lyrics, catchy tunes, mindless videos with pretend you-know-what = just the ticket for edutaining. Thanks Lady Gaga.
