Hello
I am considering a job in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. I would prefer Seoul but am wondering whether this is a good compromise. Has anyone that has lived or is living here reccomend it.
Thanks Luke |

It depends on where in Seongnam and what you like. Bundang is ritzy. Seongnam proper can be a little gritty but I liked living there. It is on the Seoul Subway line and you can be almost anywhere in Seoul in an hour or less. |

South end of the city is New, modern and has all the conveniences of Seoul.
It is often referred to as Bundang and places that you see mentioned are Seohyun, Ori, Sunae, Yatap.
The North end of town is much older and gives you a taste of older Korea. It is a bit rough around the edges but close enough to everything that you don't miss it.
I lived in Seohyun for years and loved it.
