Looking for some more up-to-date advice from what I could find in the 'Digital camera' sticky.
I'm looking at getting something in the $275 and down range of point-and-shoot. Will what I could get back home for $275 get me the same thing here?

i.e. Could I head to Namdaemun and haggle a Panasonic DMC-ZS3 or PowerShot SD980 IS down to its North American price ..or less? I know places like Hi-Mart will be more expensive and non-negotiable. I'm assuming ebay et al. wouldn't make much sense considering customs fees etc.

Thanks

I have enjoyed the two Cannon point and shoots that I've had in the past, and would recommend them over most brands.

I concur, Canons have taken the best pictures.

I am partial to Canons as well. Have a Canon SLR and my old point and shoot was Canon before I broke it.

Any ideas on the purchasing of one in Korea though as per my above questions??

Gmarket selection and pricing certainly leaves much to be desired so far.

I'm very happy with my ZS3 but found it cheaper in Australia than Korea.
