In my last class today quite a few of the students (middle school) were getting all stressed because they'd heard a woman had been found dead (one of the kids tried to explain, but it basically sounded like her head had been cut in half) in Incheon on Sunday, near somehwere called 'Dongnam Spopia'. I thought they might have been talking about Dongam (station) but they said it was near to Woninjae (which is damn close to where I live!)

I asked why, if she was found on Sunday, are they only talking about it now, and they said it had been kept a secret because of the ongoing Cheonan sinking story. Presumably 2 bad things happening in a country at once is too much for people to handle!

I searched the English language websites (Korea Herald and Times, and Korea Beat) but nothing.......anyone know anything about this?

Damn your too naive.
Murders happen here everyday.
From what I know , and I have been here 15 years.
There are quite a few murders in Ansan ,every year.
I have actually seen one.

In this country unless ,your a kid or someone
famous ,you will never get mentioned in the national media.

OMG, there was a murder and it leaked into the press in a country of 50+ million people?

This is indeed disturbing.

Sorry , Neil.
Didn't mean to get you all worked up.
I was a little drunk when I posted yesterday.
Please excuse my comment.

I don't think I have ever heard of a head being cut in half before. Horizontally or vertically? Maybe diagonally?

I've found a massive upswing in koreans believing internet tales of late. Every week there's a new news story that LMB is keeping out of the media. Laughing
