I've been here a mere 5 weeks and already I'm starting to doubt my spelling ability.

I mean, I'm good. I often have to check the spelling of my English Master's degree friends (not including grammar, here) but... things like Religion, I spend a few seconds thinking whether it's Religion or Rililgion, Pronunciation or Pronounciation etc.

I obviously come to the correct conclusion, but those 3/5 of a second of hesitation still make me uncomfortable... Anyone else starting to deteariorate?

... that was just a joke on the topic at hand... Clever, huh?

But the hesitation I feel is definitely none-trolley

Yes, I've noticed this about myself. I also spend a lot of time with my Korean friends and noticed I started to pick up the way they talk in broken English. I don't know why I do that.

My spelling has gone backwards since I installed a auto spell check in my browser. If a red squiggly line pops up, all I have to do is right click and pick the correct word. It's much easier than retyping the word, but stops you from learning how to not make that mistake.

Last year I looked over some of my old high school history essays. I was pretty embarrassed to see that my writing style and fluency hasn't improved since then. Though, I had 99% spelling accuracy, and the only spelling errors were minor. Eg leaving a letter out. Not "definately" for instance.
