Hi,
I'm going to be moving back to Ireland soon and I want to know if my Korean ps3 will work at home. As far as I know, Korean TVs and ps3s are NTSC, Irish ones are PAL. I think with new HDTVs there is no compatibilty issue however my parents TV is pretty old and just SDTV. Any advice?

Here's the info on PS3 output resolutions direct from the source:

http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/settings/videooutput.html

Most European TVs are both NTSC and PAL compatible, I had a regular telly that could play north american Ps1 games over ten years ago, so I think you should be okay. The only problme was that if i forgot to use a SCART connector, then the picture was in black and white.
