okay i'm sure lots are available but could someone tell me a good one and a good school in particular. last year i was in suwon and did taekwondo for a year. was good fun but people seem to say other martial arts in korea are better. looking for something good fitness build confidence etc. spoke to a guy who recommended hapkido who is quite into his martial arts. im in jongno so i guess there must be somewhere around. must be an adult class though, cant be bothered with little kids. my schedule is split as i teach adults, now im on 7 8 9 10 am 7pm 8pm so something that fits okay with those times.
thanks a lot

Hapkido is pretty hardcore, I reckon it looks pretty good tho.. :)

I did Kendo and Judo for a while back home, and both have strong following in Korea if you're interested.

jae.

I was wondering about this now too. Is there a good place to study martial arts around Jongno?

It's called gyeoktooki (격투기) in Korean.

Here's a place. The Han-mi Chaeyook-kwan is located near Soongshil University Subway Station on line 7. Go out exit 2, walk 500 meters from the station and you will find the gym next to the Hyundai car showroom. For details, call (02) 815-2599 or e-mail [email protected].

Kyutooki is slightly different from muay thai. None the less its a great sport.
