Are you jonesing to watch cricket on TV but don't have it on your cable/satellite line-up? Well, head off to http://www.youtube.com/ipl and catch some IPL matches as they're being played! You can also go to the same site and watch recently completed matches. |

I like cricket, but I don't give a crud about the IPL.
Can't wait for the T20 World Cup though |

What?! You've never had the pleasure of sitting through 5 days of mind numbing monotony, only for the game to end in a draw? You my friend, are a philistine of the highest order!
Seriously, I love all forms of the game. I listened intently at work, over streaming internets, to the two match series between Aus and NZ, two weeks ago. The gesticulations and expletives that flew that fort night, did more than alarm my co workers.
I haven't gotten into the IPL, simply because I haven't studied up on it. I might just arbitrarily pick a team, much as I did for the English Premiere League(Go Sunderland!), and attach my emotional well being to their travails.
I will probably pick either Brendan McCullum's team, or Ross Taylor's. A couple of the few bright talent lights in NZ cricket. Who would've thought the early to mid 2000s would be a golden era for us? Gosh I pine for the days of Fleming, Astle and Styris in their prime. We have a few potentially comparable batting talents coming through, but nothing in the way of authority and willingness to take the game by the scruff of the neck those guys had.
Cricket in general is at a low point, talent wise, right now, in my opinion. There isn't a spin bowler on earth half as good as Murali or Warne. Aussie are looking very poor. This must be their worst team in half a century? They put NZ away fairly easily, but this must be our worst team since the mid 90s(and that's saying a lot!). |

Who made that silly call? Isn't Swann an off spinner? Maybe he is the new Vettori. |

Sounds like the kind of gutter trash that banned member Gibberish who made fun of a dead person would come up with.
Good guess?
Test cricket, there is no substitute.
Funny that comment RE-worst Australian cricket team, I mean, who has beaten them in a one day series, or test series in the last few months?
Sure, they don't have Warnie to toss the ball to anymore but it's made things a lot more even and interesting.
Bring on The Ashes! |

Thanks for the info, Kurtz. Yep, I'm into test cricket mostly, but like another poster, I enjoy all versions of the sport. |
