An offering to Dave's people from a Canadian English teacher + "DDD" magazine
"I consider myself to be a migrant worker.
Don't get me wrong. I don't deny that I am extremely privileged. Unlike workers from, say, Bangladesh, Nepal, The Philipines, or Indonesia, English teachers don't generally get beaten up by their bosses, get worked half to death, work for paltry wages in dangerous conditions, get fired and deported if they get sick or injured on the job, have to pay a corrupt broker between $5000 and $8000 US to secure passage and a job in Korea."
