Wow, no replies, must be a popular place! Baluda did you ever find out anything or end up working there? I know it is in a pretty remote/rural area, but I don't mind that. They just posted today. |

Baluda or anyone else considering Gangjin Foreign language Town,
Simply stating was the best choice I made. When I came here last September I was so worried because of all of the horror stories that you read here on Daves as well as other blogs but man did i luck out here. It is pretty remote but Gangjin is a great place to be (at least for me). The people are nice, we have a small but tight foreigner crew. As for the school it was owned by Herald media up until last month and taken over by YBM (from what I hear they are the biggest private school in Korea) all of our contracts from Herald got canceled but YBM went above and beyond with my new contract. I make great cabbage, work with a great staff and most of all enjoy myself.
Warning: If you are looking for a large city where you can party every night this is NOT the place for you. If you are looking to make a great salary, live in a NICE apartment, work for really great people and not get worked to the bone then this is the place for you. |
