|
|
Wages for part-time work continue to go down. Just 3-4 years ago wages were at least 35-60K won / hour for part-time classes. Most jobs are averaging just 25-50K won an hour now.
There are WAY TOO MANY ENGLISH TEACHERS HERE NOW!!!!
Newbies, please stop coming to Korea and driving wages down!! |

"Part time work". What do you mean by this? Illegal tutoring? If that's the case then you get no sympathy from me. |

I think they need a 1997 type crackdown on illegal teachers. You E2s who are milking the privates...yes, you...time to go. Trust me, if there is a massive crack down, the prices will rise again. |

I personally don't teach any privates...the risk/reward ratio isn't good enough....but it cracks me up this whole F-visa -vs- E-visa thing....what possible rationale (unless you're joking) is there to make one think that they "deserve" to make the big bucks doing privates over someone else simply because they married a Korean national? |

Its not the E2s really killing the market, its the inflation and currency exchange.
Man if I knew how much the currency rate would change over the years in regards to mine, I would have been working illegally in the earlier years to make every cent I could.
I don't and haven't done privates as thats the rules in this country. I don't like it and over the years I have watched others get rich by ignoring them, but hey I am a sucker for honesty even when it hurts.
And man, it has hurt sometimes listening to others. |
