Time to plan for mud festival already? Dates have been announced.

Got an email today from some group who says reservations for mud festival go really quick. My colleague also told me it's imperative to book ASAP.

Anyone have any insight on mud festival as a whole, but most importantly about when you should book by if you want to go and not have to deal with any hassles?

Insight? Well..its a piss poor excuse for a festival in my opinion. Its a decent experience since we are in Korea and it is one of the most popular festivals going here, but otherwise a craphole of a festival that reminds you of that geeky fraternity that had a frat party back in your college days.

That being said..check with AdventureKorea.com to see what they have going. It may not be up on the board yet, but you can shoot them an email on what they are planning..their time frame and schedule/planning is a decent template for what you may want to do on your own, or with their group.

There are plenty of rooms when you get there. The rates get jacked up to over 100,000 won a night for a love motel-type place.

I agree. Not that great. But good to do once.

last year it was the people who booked with those groups that got scewed up...iforget the group but my friend booked and we paid a fortune for 6 peoplein a small room on the floor.

My friends showed up on friday and the motel owners happily sold them rooms they already had reserved.

A little of people who booked in advance showed up and there were no rooms available for them.

My opinion, don't book with the big groups...get your own group, and order in advnce for your own group. Get Korean friend or rader to look for motel/pensions on the internet.

It was great up until about five years ago when us lousy foreigners took it over and turned it into a great big drunken frat party.
