Hi All

Just wondering if you can help.

I called up my uni and I asked them to send me my transcripts and to make sure that they are sealed with the university seal and signed accross the seal.

When I got them, they were taped together with abit of cellotape and the university stamp, stamped all over the place and no signature. Is this how it's meant to look?

I thought the university seal looked something like a blob of red dried up wax with the mark of the uni imprinted on top. Am I wrong in thinking that?

How did your transcript looked?

My transcripts are in plain brown envelopes, the flaps on both sides of the envelope were stamped with the university ink stamp, then signed and cellotaped. Written on the front is the words "transcript", and each one was stamped with a timestamp

Mine aren't signed or sello-taped. Shocked

There's just the red University seal stamped on the sealed envelope flap.

Was it accepted? Mine wasn't signed either. Is the signature important or shall I ring up my Uni and ask them to re-send them and to make sure they are signed this time.

If you live close to your university just go up there with the transcripts you have and ask registry put them in new envelopes, signed and sealed, usually they will have no problem with this and it only takes like 5 minutes.

I'm not in Korea, so now I'm worrying. Though I haven't read anything on the EPIK website that says they have to be signed.

My current plan is to send them off as they are. Plus, all it takes is one short phone call if they need extra verification (though I'm not sure if that's in the play-book unfortunately) Mad

I did think about doing that, then decided it's probably best not to mess around with them.

Incidentally I'd say that sellotape over the flaps on official envelopes probably looks a bit dodgy; as if they needed to be re-sealed after being opened and tampered with Shocked

Mine were stamped over the envelope flap, then sellotaped above that, then stamped again between the sellotape and the paper and signed over it.

As long as it looks like it can't have been tampered with I'd say it's fine.

True. But they won't make that phone call. They'll just reject them and ask you to send them another set WITH the university stamp or a signature across the envelope flap.

They aren't going to put wax on it. They'll put a regular ink stamp on it.
