Are any of you part of this?
Gyeonggi to open English only town
Chung Chan-min] Gyeonggi provinces first English-only speaking town will open in Ansan in August as part of the provincial governments plan to expand opportunities for English education for the areas residents.
The Ansan town will include housing, educational facilities, an outdoor cafe and a pool, and employ native English-speaking teachers, Korean-speaking assistant teachers and English-speaking town employees.
Each week, 200 Gyeonggi middle school students will be chosen to receive language training from Monday to Saturday at the town. Each student must pay fees ranging from 70,000 to 80,000 won, $59 to $68 to attend the one-week camp. The town will also offer free two-day training to Gyeonggi residents over the weekend.
The province will also spend 96.7 billion won to build a larger English-only town in Paju by June 2006 and 30 billion won to construct a foreign school in Suwon for grades from kindergarten to high school, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2006.

I thought that I read something about an English town that would open down around Yongin. Can anyone confirm this? |

I wonder if it'll be like Westworld, with caucasian English-speaking robots who cater to every Korean's whim until they go haywire and a Yul Brynner look-alike chases Mr. Kim all over the place past fake 7-11's, Ford dealerships and Olive Garden restaurants until he is electrocuted in a climactic scene inside a soju-bang by a bottle of Jinro. |

Heck forget Taco Bell...how about a WENDY's with REAL western teenagers working there and asking "Can I take your order?" in that voice changing adolescent tone.
I know I am not alone when I say, Koreans can't make a decent burger. |
