Got this the other day.

Thoughts?

Quote:
Dear English teachers in Korea,

I am emailing you as I am looking for right people to venture with me in the English industry in Korea.

We are looking to develop a web service business to compete with the likes of Daves ESL Cafe and Worknplay. We intend to expand the business/revenue models that typical sites like ESL Caf and Worknplay have and offer a better and more personal service.

As many of you may know, the English education industry in Korea is a very lucrative industry. Many of you may have considered your own ventures in this industry. We want to offer you a chance to join a very exciting project with very high goals and expectations.

We have secured a great domain name for this project www.KOREAJOBS.co.kr and will also be developing other sites that work together with this site (you may have also realize that the domain is very similar to the largest Job site in Korea www.jobkorea.co.kr).

What we are looking for are partners that can contribute with 2 aspects:

1. Individuals that can contribute 1 million won per month for 6 months (total 6 million won) **the amount and payment schedule is flexible (meaning we can accept funds earlier). Why do we ask in this payment manner? Because we are particularly searching for English teachers in Korea that can contribute financially while making their normal salaries in their Hakwons.

2. Partners that also contribute in other ways to help develop the site eg. website content.

For the security of all parties, this project will operate under a Korean corporation with contracts that are enforceable in Korea.

This is one of 3 projects we are currently working on right now.

To find out more information about this or other projects, please initially email us with your interest and we will get back to you shortly to arrange a meeting. I, myself, am currently going back and forth from Seoul and Busan and will be able to meet potential partners in either of those cities.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks & regards,

David XXXXX

That doesn't seem fishy at all. You should totally leave the contact info.

Right up there with the clowns that were seeking newbie teacher 'investors' in a hagwon business.

One born every minute.

Dodgy as! Is that supposed to be a shortened business proposal? For real? And "David" doesn't even write so much as a sentence regarding what you get in return for your 6 million won?

Hey dudes, I have this really cool idea, but I'm cash poor. Gimme some money? Please?

Yeah, right.

edited: And, yeah, I really want to do that on a Korean contract. Yup.

It's OK, guys; I run a scam and identify theft protection agency. If you'll just PM me your bank site user ID, password, and account number, you'll receive my organization's 100% guarantee that this information will never be compromised again.

Act now for free bonus video on the secrets of seduction! Never be lonely again! Free! Secrets! Now!

Testimonial:

"I used to not be alright. Then I sent my account number to Street Magic's 100% legitimate organization group agency and everything stopped not being alright. Now I have to tell women I'm too busy to hang out, 'cause lying about that is one of the tips in that video I totally actually received after I sent my account number. Thanks!"

Cool, and if he wanted to do the scam again he could call himself Kim David and nobody would even know.

Sneaky!

This is written like those bank scams where some guy emails people saying someone very rich died and magically has the same family name as yours...

Answer at your own peril.

If it's legit, then IMO it's a very, very poor business choice.

Yeah, I'll sign on for 6 mil when you don't know my name and my best method of contacting you is an e-mail address and an apparent cell number...
