Alice Cooper- Easy Action.
One of the most unique albums I've ever listened too. Unusual in a totally unpretentious way. Just really freaky like a horror trip into insanity. Guitars go crazy lots of bizzare out off control riffs. Totally underatted
Crass- *beep* Envy
Really far out feminist punk album. Sang by a British woman Eva Libertine who is really angry. Goes from angry outbursts to slow morbid
one flew over the cookoes nest style slow songs. Very political put down every social convention. |

At the time: Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley, Mogwai -Young Team and Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children. I think the freakiness may also have had something to do with the way I was living in the mid to late nineties. |

I saw the title and thought I'd have something to post. Then I saw that you'd mentioned Crass in your OP =( Insanity Asylum or whatever that track is called is GREAT for scaring off women you don't want in your apartment any more. |

Indeed. Freakiest album for me is Type O Negative's World Coming Down. I have to skip over the various tracks that have, erm, medical sounds of the effects of various vices like smoking and cocaine.
A great album for the melancholic, though. Type O was really something special.
ETA: Not to mention the title track rocks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN_BlF9Vtvw&feature=related |
