I am planning a lesson on food, so I could use a baseline to match up with my students' potential answers.
So, mine first.
1) Boshintang. Need I say more?
2) Baby mice wine. It's so bad it got #2 on Cracked.com's list of worst foods. In fact, I have only seen it once in a museum. I have never seen it elsewhere in all of Korea. Must be a custom-model sort of thing. Either that or it's only popular in the North. |

I love most Korean food, everything except the bugs. Fast food from any country is the same and equally disgusting. |

I would include hong-oh (fermented sea skate), but you could argue that that isn't really food. |

I thought it was a kind of Sashimi revolting Don't eat it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another one is Kalchi- Jim- A long scabbard fish soup a smell that will knock you on your butt. |

I eat most of the food here without too much problem. I don't mind the "live" octopus tentacles or a couple of silk worms, but I am pretty sure I'll never eat a Lotteria hamburger again. I have tried them 3 times, each time hoping that I had just encountered some bad luck and that they weren't as bad as I remembered, but each time I've been disappointed. Bulgogi, shrimp and chicken burger, they are all horrible (I would still of course eat one if I'm challenged to it, it's not _that_ bad). I enjoy the tender chicken and ice cream at Lotteria though. I'll probably not eat a whole live octopus like they did in Oldboy either. I'm sure there are some other dishes I haven't heard of I wouldn't eat, but I can't come up with any more.
The funny thing is that I used to be a quite picky eater, but now the tables have turned when I eat with my family, and I'm the one who has to push them to finish their plates.

After eating this kind of food I started to think that Korean food can taste like anything. Soon after I had Hong-oh I got a sandwich that had turned bad, but I assumed it was just another type of Korean food like Hong-oh and kept eating. When my Korean friends tasted/smelled it, they told me it's not supposed to be like that, and the taste was very very strong, so I had my suspicions. Luckily my tummy is strong so I didn't get food poisoning.

| A normal Korean would never eat a whole live octopus like he did in Oldboy. It's just cut up and mixed with gochujang and shallots. Poor wee fella. Quite fun to eat though. |
