Be careful =)

Last summer a private game of poker in an apartment was being played by foreigners and was raided by the police. The participants were arrested for illegal gambling. I think the buy-in was about 100k or something. Not big money. Anyway a bunch of people at the game got deported. Watch your back =)

How strictly are the anti-gambling laws enforced? If you're playing in a 10,000 won buy in where it's more about drinking beer and playing cards, are they going to care? I assume the laws forbid gambling and not card playing, so if you're not playing for real money, that's gotta be okay, right?

How about we pretend you never mentioned it, Mr.James and your husband Mr. Jugband, OK?

(Seriously.. there have been a billion games over the years and only one got busted last year. Just keep it quiet and don't put up posters advertising the game in your local police station.)
