All I know are the ones like in Yeouido where you can get pretty silly mountain bikes. Any good bike shops to rent bikes which would be good for a long ride around the Han?

Don't know if it's too far out of the way, but in Mokdong you can rent bikes for free. There is a shack in center walking path just southwest of Paris park. It's real close to the baseball stadium. I'm sure there are others around the city. All you do is leave your ARC card with them and return the bike by 5. It's a short ride to the Han from there.

Hmmm, guess I'm looking for something inbetween the pieces of spaghetti you can rent in Yeouido and 80K. That sounds like a great bike, but I'm not trying to enter a race or anything. I'll check the place out though, thanks for the tip, if you know of anything else let me know.

I couldnt find anything so bought a cheap folding mountain bike on gmarket it was 66 dollars plus a couple for delivery and turned up the next day. You wont win any races or be the envy of your friends but its far superior to anything you can rent at the river, all the gears work and both the brakes work, for that money it does a job just fine - and it came with a lock!!

this might be out of your way too, but there's an AWESOME new thing that's started along the canal from eungam to at least world cup stadium that has the rent stations where you get a bike from one dock and drop it off from another (or the same if you wish). it's very similar to the system they have in barcelona, and bunch of other cities. i only got to check it out after hours, but i'm sure they're easy to figure out. perhaps if you do some research, you'd be able to find out if there are other bike docks spread out in other parts of the city....
the bikes were brand new and looked decent, much better than the yeouido ones...
