Is it worth it having one shipped from the US?

If you want to mod it, yes. I bought mine in Japan. Well, do anything to avoid the s***** Korean version which has a much higher chance of bricking when making changes to the sys. It's just an overall greater pain to deal with.

I don't have any experience modding a NA version, but I've never had trouble messing with my Korean system and haven't bricked it yet.

me too, no problems. just learn the hangul for "update" and avoid ever pressing that.

it WOULD be nice to have english menus for, say, setting up wireless, but i get by without.

I have decided to go for the US import. Anyone know the best way (and how much) to get it posted here from California?

Thanks to everyone who replied to my query.

anyone tried soft modding a 3.3k version?

I followed the guide on wiihacks.com and got an error on the first screen. Bootmii unable to install.

I typed that message on google and only got results back in other languages. I also searched the wiihacks forums and couldn't find anything useful.

Ideas?
