Anyone know what is the best way to get to Everland. I currently live in Ilsan. Does anyone know if there are any shuttle services? Thanks for the help. |

Unless you've got small kids, I'd save your money. Everland is a nice amusement park and not a crappy Disneyland. |

Looks like they got one of the best roller coasters in the world. I'm going. While there is kiddyfied kindergarten elementary age children's stuff, there's stuff for big kids too. I was reading up on it and they are opening a special newly built train from Kangnam university to Everland this July. And now OP's question is my question too.
I too am wondering how to go once I ride a bus to the city of Yongin. If no direct bus to Yongin, is it best to go all the way into Seoul to get one or is there another city to the South of Seoul more suitable to make a bus transfer?
Being that there's small kiddy stuff, you might hear your name called out on a nice Saturday if you teach kids. Funny thing, I was at a buddhist temple not very close to my home last Sunday, but heard my name more than once. And the hello's start up...Funny thing. |

Think Happy thoughts.
No but really...is Everland really that kiddy? I wasn't too impressed with Lotte World as the rides didn't last quite long enough for my liking, but it wasn't horrible.
I need a good rollercoaster in my life, and I want to hear my lady scream (no sexual pun intended). |

True...there is a huge roller coaster there. When I went it was literally a 2-3 hour wait to get on the T-Express though, and this wasn't in the summer and wasn't on a weekend. Since there are so few rides for adults, the queue is exceptionally long.
Anyhow...maybe my assessment was a bit harsh. I mean, pretty much everything in Korea will be a step down from what you get elsewhere. The mountains aren't really mountains, the lakes are small and man made, the beaches are just OK, and so on....so you do have to find something to do here to entertain yourself, but I was definitely disappointed with Everland and certainly would never go back again. It is NOT a world class theme park as advertised. |

Was there a Q pass thingy you could buy to allow you to jump in line? I see on their website about this Q pass thing, but didn't see the price. I do believe you about there being too many people as this is the case any where people like to go in Korea. I thought waiting 30 minutes one time in Kangnam Express Terminal for a subway ticket was a bit of a long wait, but there were so many gosh darn people to the point my backpack just got constantly knocked off with me feeling the pain of skinny people bones pummeling me.
When I went to Universal Studios Hollywood on a balmy, warm, and sunny March day, there was no waiting in line which is character of all the physical room, capacity, and low population conditions we have in America. 5 minute ques at most. I can't see waiting 3 hours for a roller coaster ride. That's half of your day! |

I've been to Everland twice... It's actually pretty decent and the T-Express rocks...
Except the second time I went (a nice weekend in early March) the damn coaster wasn't open!... Pissed me right off... So make sure to call ahead |

I'm not sure about private buses, but on public transportation, this might be your best bet:
9700 or 9711 from Ilsan to Gangnam station - depending on where you live in Ilsan
5002 - Gangnam station - Everland
Should probably take 2 hours in average traffic |

Lotte world is great as long as you appreciate it for what it is - a crappy funpark with cheap beer. Atlantis half sloshed on a winter afternoon is a great time |
