| S:B&S is the best series I've seen in a while. It started of a little suspect for me, but it got better every week. My favorite character was actually Crixus and was cheering when he tapped his shield and joined the rebellion. Xena is a freaking MILF in this series. ( I saw her in person once, like 8 years ago and she was so hot in person). I was slightly disappointed that her and Ilithyia(the hot blond) didn't get it on, but that's the single guy in me. The series is a little rough, but very enjoyable. |

This show definitely picked up steam after the first few episodes. I struggled through the first one because I love the historical setting, even though the style was lifted directly and poorly from 300.
Once you hit episode 4 the show gets awesome. Some great shameless and hardcore Roman politics mixed in with awesome arena fights and enough nudity to get you through the slow parts.
The finale was amazing as well, highly recommend for those of you bored at home on those lonely korean weeknights. |

If I had to criticize one aspect of the show, it would be the musical score. All of the great TV shows of the last decade have had memorable musical scores. The Wire. The Sopranos. Arrested Development. Mad Men. The Office. Deadwood. The Shield (incredibly cheesy but memorable). Curb Your Enthusiasm. Six Feet Under. Band Of Brothers. John Adams (under rated(musical score and show)). Flight of The Concords. All have amazing scores. Some of them even have really good music during the show.
I doubt whether Spartacus B&S will be remembered as one of the great shows of this decade(I sure hope not), but as pure, unadulterated, mindless entertainment, it is unsurpassed so far. A better score and better in show music would jack up the entertainment value manifold. |

Spoiler...
I couldn't stand crixus throughout the series and thought he was a certified douche bag. When he helped spartacus however and yelled "killed them all!" that was pretty sweet. The look on the German brothers' faces when they screamed was priceless and also the look on Batiatus' face when Sparty was going for the killer blow on the balcony...Absolutely brilliant. |

| Don't know if this is on purpose or not, but FYI "Ilithea" in Greek means "(female) moron". A coincidence or an inside joke, the way she's being played by Batiatus/Xena? TBD... |

Her only problems were when she acted on impluse, otherwise she was rather crafty and conniving. |

she was usually only conniving in reaction to things though.
I'd say she was without an agenda until domina tried to take advantage of her.
kinda wish batiatus was spared in the end. he did have a kind of honor within him, probably my favorite character in the series.
Hopefully Whitfield recovers soon. there's still ashur, legatus and illithea left to kill. |

I wonder if Legatus will actually care to chase them down. They killed Batiatus who was blackmailing Legatus, so you think he might leave them be, unless he is ordered to do so. Although he hates Spartacus something fierce |
