These are one of the best reviewed noise cancelling headphones available. I love them, but I travel once a year and they sit in their pretty case otherwise. Originally I bought them for getting peace in a noisy office, but my job changed and I don't travel often enough to make full use of them.
If you fly or travel on bus or train often, these are a godsend. Incredible sound, and not only do they isolate most sounds, they cancel out low frequency hums. They have a button that switches on built in microphones for times when you do want to hear whats happening around you.
Read any reviews, they sell themselves.

Will consider trades for some quality equivalent in-ear phones too.

i tried to get these shipped here. They do not come in a small box. no one would do it oversseas. I bought them off of Amazon, they also had similar prices to $250-$300 last yeat, but after furthur inquiry they were refurbished "like new". I had them shipped home, then here. Also if you can get a pair cheaper, do it. they are awesome. I've only seen them at a pro-audio shop in Seoul and they had to get them imported from Germany and had a sale tag of 560,000 plus some kind of luxury tax. Insane.
With exchange rate and shipping I think there are fairly priced. Well worth it. Again, if you can find them for less, grab them.

The OP is correct. As far as Korean prices go 300,000 is less than half what you would pay here...620,000 - 850,000 seems to be about the going rate at the shops I'm aware of.

You would have to pay duties if you ordered a product such as this from OS.

Good luck with the sale.

thanks, these are not for your average music listener, thats for sure. I tested a lot of brands and styles before i chose these. I had a Bose pair of top of the line Quiet Comforts before, no comparison. I have some AKG studio phones for albums at home. I'm looking into a good pair of in-ears now. Will suit my needs more. again, trades welcome!

Duties has to be paid for items at $400 or higher. If it's just 300 bucks, you don't have to pay any import tax. You can check the info on the duties info

I had no idea that you could buy headphones that cost $500. I am not saying that you are asking too much or anything, I just realized that I had no idea that I was so completely ignorant about headphones.

Last summer I paid $35 for new in-ear headphones at Best Buy when I was home...I thought that I was splurging by spending that much and have been really happy with how much better they are than the ones that came with my MP3 player...clearly I don't know *beep* all about headphones Smile

This is true, I did not pay any duties on these when I had them sent from home. but, as stated earlier, the few places online that sell refurbished pairs for less than $350 will not ship overseas and the places that will ship them here are priced far higher.

If you want a pair in Korea, it will cost you more than double my price. If you want a new pair factory sealed from the U.S. it will cost you the base price $349.95 plus shipping home, plus shipping here. If you want a refurbished pair, or a pair in "like new condition" you can get them for about $250-300, but you are running the risk of getting a counterfeit pair.

If you do your research you will see that some of the lower priced pairs end up being fakes. sellers will protect their "integrity" and will offer to refund the cash only if you can prove its a fake, minus the shipping and handling costs. Plus you will eat the costs of shipping it back to them.
They make money off those shipping charges, and bet that a percentage won't even notice the items are fake.
Sennheiser only honours warranties from products bought at authorised retailers, and resellers, so look for that as well. Some Ebay seller may have 10 pairs for $249.95 in a factory sealed box, but unless they have that certification, there is something fishy.

I did my research before buying, anyone who's interested i hope will do theirs. Thanks for looking!

I'm almost certain it still is 150,000 won.

The duty free allowance is US $400 worth of goods when you go through customs at the airport.

If you are bringing goods into Korea by post you have to pay if the value of the goods is 150,000 won.

Check the source >>Korean Customs - Travel/Post Information

Maybe I got off by having it sent by my family marked "gift". If it was sent direct from retailer, i'd likely have been pinched.
