As many of you know already, I am heading for the States. I am thinking about building another PC. Don't worry as I won't let you down. I WILL built another beast, that's for damn fucking sure. But, if I do, I WAS contemplating something and would love to have your opinion on something:
What's the deal with WoW and should I even get involved? What about Final Fantasy XI? Thoughts?
I sold my baby to another and I am thinking about building her mother. So, I thought, what about Wow or FFXI? |

Between WoW and FF11, I'd go with WoW.
There is a reason FF11 is bleeding players and WoW continues to be successful. I actually play WoW on a Korean server. I installed the English client and jsut modified the Reallist. |

Been playing WoW since the original beta... Though I've had to take the odd 6-7 month break from it two or three times. However, everytime I "rediscover" the game I get addicted again lol...
The only trouble you might find is the initial leveling because there are so many people playing at the highest level these days... Not a lot of lowbies left running around to group with anymore, unless you can find a guild with lots of alt characters that need to be run through as well.
Definatly give the trial a shot... Can't go wrong with free right? |

Wow is worlds ahead of ffxi, especially if you don't want to spend the vast majority of your time just grinding it. The leveling is extremely easy and fast now, and the gameplay is still very rewarding. Once you reach encdgame even that is now very casual friendly if you want it to be. |

imo the two games are very different. ive played both since the begining and went on and off with both ( ffxi and wow) wow is more beginner friendly and very easy to get into. people play wow for many differnt reasons but i would say the main reason for wow is the end game which is getting better gear and raiding. ffxi on the other hand is not beginner friendly at all. but the main appeal of ffxi is the leveling/grinding with groups. i really enjoyed playing ffxi more than wow but at times it was aslo really frustrating getting parties as it really depends on playing with others. |

do a forum search for English WoW.
I posted instructions on how to get English WoW to work on Korean servers.
The only hiccup I've had so far is when Blizzard sends out a new patch. When that happens, I gotta reinstall WoW from scratch or else I get a "your version of WoW is invalid". |
