				Hi folks,

Am heading to Gwangju City next week - can't wait! I'm wondering about currency exchange. I think I've left it a little late to order KRW over here and am wondering how easy it is to exchange it there? Sorry, I'm sure this topic has been discussed many times, but I'm a little anxious.

Also, would I get a better rate in Korea just now?

Thanks in advance |

				| Best thing to do would be create a bank account then do a bank transfer from your UK account.. Exchanging cash is a bad idea. |

				| Right, does that include exchanging cash at the airport? |

How bad is the exchange rate?

My bank charges so much to do a money transfer abroad that I sometimes wonder if exchanging cash might be cheaper. |

				| Just don't bring any Scottish notes. Nowhere will accept them for exchange! |

				| Can't say for sure if the exchange rate at the airport is any good or not - But do you really need to carry that much cash around? If you do a bank transfer from your UK account, the larger the amount the better. You get a 'transaction' fee but that's only about 10-15 pound. I've been using HSBC Internet Banking for this and it's a piece of cake. |

				| the airport exchanges here are pretty decent. as far as i remember, they're all regulated, (actually in the baggage pickup area) so you get a normal rate. |
