I have Qook TV and all of a sudden at least three channels I was watching before have "restricted content." It seems I need to enter a four-digit pin as "child-protection." But I have no idea what this pin is, and when I go into "my menu" and go to "child protection settings," it only seems to give me the option to change the old password to a new password, but I have no idea what the old one is! (The fact that I'm puzzling this out in Korean is less the problem than that the menu shows up to be almost unreadable on my TV screen).

Overall not too happy with the service. A lot of channels (including these ones I can't watch and several pay channels), and not much that's worth anything (how many religious and educational channels does one really need?).

Advice on what to do with these restricted channels appreciated.

I also have QOOK, you have access to on demand movies and programs, some charge, others are free. There are options to play games and quizzes and it's also norae capable. But kinda expensive Sad It's also a modem/cable box built into a single futuristic unit. I don't know about your case, but when I had to enter a password it was 0000. I'm only just beginning to discover the capabilities of this amazing machine.

My default code is 1111 you might want to try that. If that does not work just try simple 4 number combos.

Thanks. Now I remember that it's 1111. I just thought it was weird because I already did that once (when the guys installed it), so was surprised when it was suddenly restricting the channels.

I just got it because I got Qook to do my internet. How does it compare price-wise to options like Hana TV? (I have a year contract and could change after that).

How do the noraebang channels work?? Are they all free?

IPTV is basically different in channel choice. I had Qook before switching to Qook-Skylife because of sports. If you want more foreign channels, SK Broadband IPTV is also available.

The noraebang channels are pretty cheap but not free.

Am not sure about the price. But I can get a week trial of free norae access, that will probably give me enough time to get bored of it, apparently after I've used my free time I can get different pricing options. One day, week or month, etc.

If I were you, try singsnap.com instead. It is doable on your PC, has loads of free content, AND has backup vocals.
