I'm looking for a good place to go for Buddha's bday at the end of may. There is a group of maybe 10 or so of us. Looking to go to a nice place to relax and eat and drink. Proximity to beaches and/or hiking and anything else of interest would be cool.

I'm sure a lot of you have done trips like this before. If so, where did you go?

(note: Iv'e been to Jeju, Seoraksan, and some islands around Inceon before. Any other suggestions would be great) |

				| Some friends and I are planning to go to Busan that weekend. 2h40m on the KTX from Seoul, so maybe 4 hours to get there from Incheon for us. Not sure how relaxing that's going to be, but it'll certainly be fun! |

I have two long weekends in May.

05/05 ~ 05/09 (5 days vacation due to Children day)

and

05/21 ~ 05/23 (3 days vacation due to Buddhas birthday)

Buddha's birthday in 2010 is actually May 2nd - but that being a Sunday, I guess they had to give us a day off 3 weeks later. |

Yeah, I've got the May 5-9 off as well, but that's not as common as you'd think; most of my friends don't have those days off, just the 5th for Children's day. I'm going to Jeju that week. |

I'm off from the 4th so I'm gonna head up towards seoul that morning then out to suwon for the half marathon the following day. Heading down to gyeongju on the thurs / friday, busan on the saturday and back home the sunday.

Out of interest; best way to get from seoul to gyeongjue or busan? ktx seems to be about 50,000 one way, seems a bit expensive! |
