| This is probably total BS or an IDM (Internet D/l Manager) error, but for some reason I'm SURE I hit 22mbps on Apple Trailers, if that's even possible. |

I'd say it's possible. I remember getting a 73mb driver file from AMD in about 4 seconds once. That's around 18mbps. |

My PC pulled off a 9.7MB/s (for a short time) on a popular torrent recently. Thus the DIR-600 router is working fine now.
However, I've never broken the 10MB/s mark on a download.

I know most of you know this, but be careful with your bits (b) and bytes (B):
1 Byte = 8 bits
10 MB/s = 80 Mb/s and vice versa.
Most Korean high-speed is rated for a maximum speed of 100Mb/s or 12.5 MB/s |

I have a D-Link DGL 4500 and the internet goes extremely fast for about an hour and then drops to crawl. No one else is on my net since it is password protected.
Should I jump from 2.4GHz to 5GHz band?
My speed test to NYC went from mid 50s to 1mbps. Or is there only certain times when non-Korean servers can be accessed at a faster rate? lol
This is my first day with the net up and running at the house. |

i bought a Netgear G router. did a speed test to speed.nia.or.kr and maxing out at 20 for dl/up. i'm on a 100 Megabit line from SK. When i plug in directly into the wall I used to get 97Megabit.
Thanks for the info... I'll look into the gigabit router. I just wonder why I can't get 55Megabits connection from the G router, even when my comp is right next to it. That's false advertising, or something up with the router settings?
Also, does the gigabit router have menu in English when you log into the router?
Thanks, |
