... when this dropped: http://www.siliconera.com/2010/04/20/the-marvel-vs-capcom-3-teaser-trailer/
http://ps3.ign.com/objects/070/070922.html

I think I teared up and came a bit.

Crossing my fingers for 200+ characters.

What are your guys' picks for new characters you hope they'll put in the game?

I'm hoping for Thor, Punisher, Omega Red, and Nightcrawler.

2011, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!

Only worries are that they're building the game with the engine they used for Resident Evil 5. Game better not be slowed down at all or have a weak roster or it might shorten my life. My passion for MvC2 is fiery. I can't even count how many hours I spent playing the game to unlock every single item on the PS2 version so I could use 3 of the same character at the same time, lol.

It was fun using 3 Jugz, exploiting that permanent power-up bug with all three, and destroying people new to the game with 9 assists. And then my original disc broke. There went several hundred dollars and some of my sanity down the toilet.

apparently 30+ characters confirmed, so not sure about 200+

Some semi-confirmed characters are Super-Skrull, Deadpool, Captain America, Chun Li, ...
Probably no Marrow though Razz

Since it will be on a disc, they will probably offer a lot of DLC too.

From Capcom Id like to see Guy from Street Fighter Alpha and Zero from Mega Man X.
From Marvel Id definitely enjoy Deadpool.

Honestly, the roster from MvsC2 was amazing. For the 3rd they just better not ditch Jin.

I was happy they werent using the SFIV engine, which was my worry as soon as I watched the trailer.

I own MvsC2 on the Dreamcast (and xbox, and now PS3) and I think my buddy and I maxed out the clock on the game. To this day he is the only person who has beaten me; Jin, Akuma, and Venom all the way!

I still have my PS2 copy and was a little pissed off when Sony released it...only because it didn't hurt my little brother as much whenever I sent him screen shots.

I also had it for Xbox but with the Elite the game just had too many glitches. I ended up selling it for a nice price.

Nice picks! I completely forgot about Alpha and EX rosters. I would love to play as Doctrine Dark, Garuda, or Skullomania again.

Nice pick with Deadpool.

Honestly, I'm so excited for this game right now expectations will kill me. I keep thinking the roster is gonna be 10x as large as MvC2's when there's a likely chance it'll stay about the same # or go smaller ("for a more balanced experience" Rolling Eyes)

Silver Surfer, Kingpin, Super Skrull, Red Hulk, Black Bolt, aw yeah.

You play MvC2 on PS3? We should play sometime-- my gamertag is _oxiclean

Yeah, there are some gems in the Alpha rosters.

I think the chances of Deadpool being in the game are very high, especially since he gained so much popularity recently with the Wolverine movie.

My biggest worry is how well the 2D madness and experience will play out on 3D. Also, I bet Capcom is going to have a ton of DLC characters that they could have just added in for free, but they know people will pay more for them. I mean, look at what happened with Resident Evil, Street Fighter, etc.

I do play MvsC2 on PS3, though I don't play many games online in fear that some 12 year old will crush my soul Laughing I'll add you next time I'm on, user name: Jade0029

So I was reminded of this thread as this game comes out (kind of) tomorrow!

Who's getting/got it? What do you think?

I'm a little disappointed with the size of the roster, but I'm sure DLC will flesh it out. No Jin from Capcom, but at least they have Akuma.

Here's looking forward to being taken for a ride!
