Hey gang,
Has anyone worked with EOEC (English of Education Center) before? They appear to be a recruiting company and they're looking to fill teachers within Chungnam. It's also for public school positions and they say they're one of the recruiting companies for the Chungnam educational office. I'm a bit skeptical since I figured the positions would've been filled by now.
Has anyone had any experience with them?
Here's a link to their website -> www.ieoec.com
Thanks!
Edit: If it's in Chungnam, would this be considered CEPIK? |

Lol, I was actually googling their company to find out the same thing. I've been working with them, and they DID have me fill out a CEPIK Application. They SEEM legitimate, but I know scammers are sophisticated these days.
Let me know if you found out any more information, and I let you know how it goes on my end. |

Hi,
Ahn Hye Won ("Elly") is a manager for the company. She's a very good person. |

Chungnam is an area? I thought it was a name of a school. The site you linked to says Mapo, Seoul.

I got placed by them, here's some subjective info about them:
Communication: I found them to be good with communication when organizing the job (before coming over). I haven't really needed to get hold of them since so I cannot comment on after-placement communication but I have no reason to believe it will be bad.
Upon Arrival: When I arrived in Korea, I was met at the airport and taken to the town where I was to work. I was introduced to my co-teacher, taken to my apartment, and then to my first school to meet the principal. All standard procedure, nothing wrong here either.
Overall: I have had no issues with EOEC. I found them to be quite professional
Chungnam is not a chain, it is the short name for the province (Chungcheongnam-do).
If you can get into Gwangju or Busan rather, I would recommend it!!! |
