Hi All,

I'm heading home end of May for my 2 weeks of home leave, but it's just a few days before payday. I was wondering: do public schools give flight money before we go home, or do we have to wait until after we return?

I mean, my stuff will all be here. I've got pets and my school knows that I'm serious about staying. I've just never gone through the process, and was wondering what to expect.

The reason I ask is that I plan on buying a VERY expensive computer when I'm home, and want to know if I should be eating loads of PB&J sandwiches this month to save those few extra million won.

Please let me know your experiences regarding home leave flight money. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I got my flight money a couple of weeks after the start date of my second contract. I was told in advance that I wouldn't get it until after the start of the new contract.

my school has told me that I will get my flight money just before I go, two weeks I think. I leave at the end of July, so they gave me a date just before that for my refund

My recruiter told me that I'd likely get it when I get back. What a pain in the arse.

My school actually just paid for the flight up front..I found a flight..and they paid for it..

I'm kinda a chump though, I didn't fly Korean Air or any other Asian carriers because their flights were too expensive..and I was scared my school wouldn't have paid for it..So i'm flying United..wish me luck..Smile

My coteacher just told me that I should get it before I go. It may be the last day before I go, but that's fine. My dad's using his credit card to charge the tickets, because he gets a percent back, so it will save me a bit more, but I'd like to give him the cash when I'm home, and not have him wait for the money to be transferred to him when I get back.
