I don't really believe in the Zodiac but read Rob Brezsny's Free Will Astrology just because his writing is so damn interesting - very philosophical and entertaining. In fact, since I don't really believe, I usually read every sign.

I'm a virgo, but almost a libra? Don't know much about astrology, just know I'm at the very end of virgo (Sept. 20th) so I'm supposedly part virgo, part libra? At least that's what I read in a bad teen magazine when I was 16.

Graduated college, wanted an adventure and to travel more, came to Korea.

I also came with my boyfriend. He's a Capricorn, same reasons as me.

Things back in New Jersey were just too humdrum. 95% of the people are know are doing the same thing. I wanted to do something different. Also after working at Starbucks nearly full time through college, I thought it would be nice to move to a country where I wouldn't have to speak English constantly. I feel at peace now that my job doesn't center around making small talk to people I don't want to talk to, as well as pretending I care about whatever new drink or cheesecake is coming out. Also, I enjoy the unique type of drama I encounter in Korea, much better than USA at the time being.

Anyone else find that time in Korea goes by much faster than back at home? Maybe it's just that I'm having a good time. My Six months feel more like one.

@ Crescent, thank you for doing some research of your own at your job and confirming what I think may be the case out here.. I think its pretty awesome that you can do charts for ppl, i'm sure they will appreciate that..


@ CandyTeacher..A virgo, hunh..I must admit they are pretty rare out here, but I think its way cool that you came to SK!..

As I stated previously, i'm no expert on astrology, but I have an interest in it..and know a lil bit about each sign..

You wanted a lil insight into why you may have came to Korea according to your sign..so here goes:

A Virgo is a communicator sign..talking is important to you guys..what better way to do that than lecture the youth of today..
More so, Virgos are known for being highly intelligent and have analytical minds..You like to solve problems and you're pretty good at researching..maybe you might even decide to go back to school while you are out here..
Now the thing is..the economy is pretty bad right now..and everybody is trying to find a nice steady income..no matter what their sign is..so now i'm seeing representations of every sign out here..some more than others though( I still stand by my original theory)..
A virgo is pretty rare out here, because you guys kinda thrive on working your way up in a company..or sometimes leading a routine life..it's comfortable..but that depends on the type of Virgo you are..Some Virgos use their intelligence to create an ideal situation for themselves career wise..but if one is more narrow minded and critical of themselves this may limit them from moving forward or progressing the way they would like..So in short..you guys are independent but can become stuck in a rut if you continuously criticize yourself and over think..but you seem like you already are on the ball..you've done one of the most independent things ever..Moved half-way across the world, TWICE!..

Thanks Amethyst, thats cool and also fairly accurate. Definetly a talker and i did go back to school after my last time here. Im not self critical so heres hoping for that progression

I also found it interesting you mentioned getting stuck in a rut, thats exactly why I came back. There were jobs available but nothing that I saw offered me progression in what I wanted and I feared getting stuck in a rut!
