Hi there!
I have a 5 day weekend coming up for Children's Day.
I want to go SOMEWHERE, because I feel like 5 days is too long to just sleep in and hang around the small suburb I live in.
If anyone has any ideas of short trips that you've heard about or taken, please let me know... I'm thinking fun & cheap.. Not china due to the visa req. but within Korea, Japan.. I also here there's a boat to Russia..
Additionally, I'm a single girl, and traveling alone (even in Korea despite the fact that everyone proclaims how safe it is) is not my most preferrable scenario. If anyone else has the time off, isn't an ax murderer, and wants to go on an adventure, please hit me up!
Thanks |

Fukuoka always makes a nice trip. You can the ferry from Busan. The trip is about three hours.
Lots of sights and shopping there. Shinto Shrines, Parks, and malls. |

I also have 5 days off and a few weeks ago I booked a flight to Manila for out $300 on cheapoair.com. It'd probably be more expensive now but it's worth a shot. Lots of shopping down there. |

also I wouldn't bother looking into a boat to Russia as it takes 2 days I think, and the visa is complicated/hard to get. Fukuoka is also a nice getaway, and the overnight boat is pretty cheap. |

Jeju Air (discount carrier) flies to Osaka. Depending on ticket price at this point - maybe do a whirlwind Osaka/Kyoto tour? |
