Don't care.
I didn't even know who he was until the media told me he was someone famous who offed himself.
Some of Nirvana's songs are OK, but do you think they'd still be making music today he he was still alive? I think not. Look at Pearl Jam, they are a nostalgia band these days. |

I love the jag offs that just come out of the wood work when someone posts virtually anything.
Its not about "Can I speak on the topic" it's' "Oh goody another topic I can pass judgement on"
So to reactionary, good for you, you don't care. Thanks for the input.
This is an OFF TOPIC FORUM, it was something I thought about given that he was in the news yet again the other day.
Does anyone want to actually speak to the question or are my responses going to be limitited to the hoplessly mornic and ignorant "this was like 16 years ago dude" or "yeah I don't give a crap"? |
While I do understand the OP's frustration, I have to say...If you are going to insult someone's intelligence online, make absolutely sure you don't have any typos or grammar mistakes.
Edit: I have no idea why my quotes never work. But you get the idea. |
Why? I am passing judgments on thier comments not their grammar or typing. |

| Well, there's another typo. I'd say it's pretty "mornic" to be someone who has difficulty spelling and decide to be an English teacher - might be worth investing more time in that rather than being a web sleuth and investigating Cobain's death. |

A principal effect of alcohol is to slow down brain activity, and depending on what, how much, and how fast a person drinks, the result is slurred speech, hazy thinking, slowed reaction time, dulled hearing, impaired vision, weakened muscles and fogged memory.......and typos due to the shakes. |

Yes, i too believe he was probably murdered. Masterminded by Courtney.
I'm sure Courtney a) wanted his money, b) was also fkd out of her mind by drugs (borderline psychotic), and c) knew that Kurt was going to die soon anyway by overdose.
In any case, he's better off dead. I'm thinking "Heroin" by Velvet Underground sums it up pretty well for Cobain. Most artists are a little off... |

Reactionary, are you ever anything other than a total _______ ( fill in whatever adjective you want to, I am not about to break the terms of service.
1) I have an English degree and can usually dish out a correct sentence, I say usually as the English language has so many conflicting rules, its a difficult language to master.
2) Its a damn question, answer it or don't Most people are capable of having more than one thought on the go, even you. REst assured I can have a conversation about the death of Kurt Cobain, and still be a darn good teacher.
3) There are things I could improve on, sure, I am not ignorant enough to think that I know everything. I leave it up to ignorant people like you who equate bad typing skills, or a complete and total lack of desire to read over or sepll check a passage on an informal website, with a lack of teaching ability, teaching competance, or intelligence.
You don't care about the post then piss off, We don't need another grammar nazi with a superiority complex. |

| Cobain should have used his freetime more constructively and should have learned to play the guitar with some degree of proficiency instead of wallowing in self-pity. Dave Mustaine was always coked out and on heroin...but the man could play some nasty rhythm guitar and decent lead work too.... |

Damn man...I wished I would have seen him around the time metallica booted. I believe that would have been 82 or early 83..but I was still in diapers then.
Yeah alot of people don't realize he's actually a damn good guitarist despite his reputation. Whereas Cobain had a reputation and he was such a crap guitar player with crap riffs as well. |

If you're going off topic on this I'll join in.
I'm not sure exactly sure why you're comparing a grunge guitar player with a metal guitarist. I think Mustaine is technically good, but I don't like his riffs at all. They are nothing compared to what Slayer, Entombed, Carcass, Celtic Frost or Obituary could come up. I prefer Cobain's riffs over Mustaine's too.
His vocals are utterly appalling, it's like a sneer. I'll take Cobain's any day of the week, and he was a far more charismatic character than that long haired carrot top.
I saw Nirvana live, and they sure rocked the house. |

| Yeah he probably was really doped up and if I had that amount of drugs in me I wouldn't be able to hold a gun but his body at that point was tolerant of the drugs. So i'm guessing he probably did shoot himself. |
