I am a UK citizen and a permanent resident in the USA. Is there anyway to get an E2 visa without going back to the UK prior to going to Korea? Additionally, would they accept my USA background check? I have lived in the US since I was 15 and I am now 25?
Would Appreciate any advice.
Thanks. |

I had a young lady from Jamaica interviewing with me in Atlanta for the E-2 visa...we all passed, no problem. Ten years in the US should be plenty of time for a state criminal check to be valid. Still, I'd go ahead and check with a recruiter, or possibly the British consulate, and see if they can offer something more definative. |

Depends on immi at the time I think. I heard last year it was ok, but I had to go back to the UK even though I hadn't lived there for 20 years to get my E-2 Visa, and then I could only get contracts in certain provinces because I didn't get my CBC from the UK (even though I was 4 when I left).
Talk to the consulate over there though, but be prepared for a whole lot of fun. |
